Gender Reveal Party!

I, like any good southern gal, love a good party. My gender reveal was no exception.

I got most of my decorations at the local dollar store, and we had a nice cookout. To me this wasn't about spending a lot of money, but celebrating God's sweet creation!

The hubby and I started off the day visiting Baby's First Images. I prayed and prayed the baby would cooperate and show his/her stuff!
At the ultrasound we had the tech keep it secret from us and write the gender in a sealed envelope. We took our decorated box to Party City, where they took the envelope and filled our box with pink or blue balloons!
We loaded up our sealed box, and headed to my pink and blue decorated parent's house.

In the Easter season, we decorated the trees with pink and blue eggs hanging from fishing wire.

Used my old faithful chalkboard (purchased at Staples and chalkboard markers purchased at Michael's) to write all the old wives tales.

We had all of our guest wear their votes with a painted clothespin. (The pink and blue bucket were purchased from the dollar store)

We had guest vote boy or girl. (we used wrapping paper from the dollar store to cover the board)

My personal favorite! Guest wrote name suggestions for both boy and girl.

We had blue punch (Hi-C & Minute-Maid Lemonade) and pink punch (Pink Minute-Maid Lemonade)

Team Pink

Team Blue

When people ask what my mother's intuition was telling me, I honestly had no idea! I felt like it was truly 50:50! I went with team pink for picture purposes!

Such a sweet moment! This is my sweet niece, Hailey, getting a good view!

We  ended the balloon fun with a silly string fight :)

Before the party started. Yes, I had a wardrobe change :)

After the party, picture with my older sister and younger half sister.

This was such a fun day. I am so glad Matthew and I waited to be surprised with the rest of our friends and family. A moment we will cherish always!

Playing Catch Up

I am now 16 weeks, so lets catch up on my super cute chalkboard tracker
[which was super easy and affordable to make]

We found out we were pregnant at 4 weeks.

We went to our first doctor appointment at 8 weeks.

At 11 weeks I finally starting getting a pudge.

12 weeks and so glad to be assisting God in a miracle!

13 weeks my pudge is looking more like a bump.

14 weeks we finally made it to the 2nd trimester!

At 15 weeks we found out our sweet baby is a boy!

New Adventure

I decided to start this new little blogging adventure to document my 1st pregnancy! YAY!! My husband and I are so excited!
I started thinking there is so much more going on in my life that I would love to document and share.
I am a Christian and everything in my life is based off of my faith in Jesus!
I am a wife. My husband Matthew is my right hand man, and I love him endlessly.
We got married December 1, 2012. We were only 19...babies young, I know!
I am a mommy to be in October with a baby BOY!

I can't wait to share this new season of my life!
